The failure is manifested by the TV failing to power on even though there is a standby power and responds to power command.

(if there is no indication of available standby power that is another problem; in such and any other case you may consider using our flat rate board repair service available at our online store)

A certain and almost unmistakable proof of the need for that kit is an open fuse F820 located just below the board label. Do not bother replacing the fuse, that alone is not going to be sufficient.

  • PFC driver IC Q860A (on board PE0546; may have a different name on the other boards)
