Coppell TV Repair LLC offers you the essential components needed to repair Panasonic SS board TNPA5623 and its variants, e.g. TNPA5623AB.

Those are the transistor Q051, its gate resistor R051, which sometimes burns when the transistor shorts out, and the diode D041.

Sometimes there are other components that fail on the board, but at least in our experience replacing those 3 resolves the problem with the board in over 90% of the time.

Another thing you need to do is clear and re-flow with solder the board's contact points with the screws and the metal supports as they tend to get rusty over time and that creates issues; other companies offer replacement screws...we believe this is absolutely pointless without cleaning the board on both sides (back and forth) where it contacts with the screw and the support. We also believe that if the board is prepped properly then there is no problem whatsoever to use the original screws, if only because even if the screw itself is bad, then the back side of the board will contact the metal support just fine.

FAILURE SYMPTOMS

The apparent and unmistakable failure symptom is having the TV refusing to start with the LED indicator repeatedly flashing 8 blinks separated by a brief pause.

The transistor Q051 may be measured shorted on the board (the diode will too measure short if the transistor is shorted, but in reality does not fail most of the time).

The resistor may also measure open and is often, though not always, visibly bruned.

DIFFICULTY LEVEL

Easy to medium. Generic soldering equipment should allow doing the job.

Patience and attention are always recommended.

Improper handling may cause additional damage. If you are not certain you can undertake the service consider using our repair services instead.

    Most of the repair kits we offer are based on first hand experience servicing boards at our repair facility. 

    Over time they may get expanded with our own experience or information from manufacturer service bulletins, customer feedback etc.

    Yet failure can be unique and there can not be guarantee that what has worked one, ten or even hundred times will also work the next one.

    Just as important, every repair involves about equal portion of quality of parts and quality of worksmanship and as we have no control over the worksmanship quality unless we are the ones performing it we would be unwise to provide warranty of the products utilized by that worksmanship.

    As such, no warranty is offered on this product once the components in it are soldered on a board.
