Coppell TV Repair LLC offers a brand new American made replacement for Hakko nozzle A1002 with 0.8mm opening diameter.
We have an overstock of those items which we ourselves been using for our true and tested (and now aged) Hakko 808 pumps which we still maintain and use to this day.
Those are great nozzles with thin tips and holding on well, unlike the "original" A1002 nozzles we received from China at $6 or $7 apiece...those ones were clearly fake and they fell apart literally within weeks.
We can't say more about the Plato substitutes here other than we've been using them for more than 5 years and they are perhaps just slightly worse, longevity wise, than the Japanese A1002 nozzles of 0.8mm they aim to replace - an observation which may stem from the fact that they are also thinner and this may have something to do with the way the metal handles the thermal cycles it goes through.
